openNMS Android Client

openNMS Network administrators  now have the ability to do the following tasks from their android mobile devices:

  ►View Maps

 ►Taking pictures of network devices using the mobile device camera.

 ►Adding nodes individually or a group using a xml file (provisioning)

 ►View Alarms                 ►Acknowledge Alarms (not yet completed)

►View nodes                                                ►View outages

 ►Ability to forward alarms to other admins via SMS

Enhancements in progress

►Adding ping functionality to ping network devices.

►Pinging network devices via SMS using second mobile that is in the same network

►Enable the client to modify configuration files in the main server

►Integrate with the server using RPC

►Enhance the maps by enabling pictures upload to the icons folder in the main server and modify the map configuration file to point to the uploaded picture.

►Enable map zooming

►Integrate the client with Google maps

►Chang the update interval for the update service and give the user the mean to define it.the current implemented service update the records every 30 second if it is turned on.
